Hunter: Tootega Nahi, Todega Season 1 Review

The TV series “Hunter- Tootega Nahi Todega,” based on Saurbh Katiyal’s novel “The Invisible Woman,” directed by Prince Dhiman and Alok Batra, initially seems strange but becomes more captivating as the story progresses. The eight-part drama, with 30-35-minute episodes, follows ACP Vikram, who is wrongly accused of the murder of orphanage owner Leena Thomas and is now on the run. Despite being a flawed character, Vikram is determined to clear his name with the help of his ex-wife, his ally inspector Sajid, and a reporter named Divya. The show also features an interesting subplot involving Vikram’s pet hacker and his love interest.

Suniel Shetty delivers a solid performance as Vikram, showcasing his action skills, but the supporting cast could have been better developed. The show’s action sequences are well-choreographed and are a highlight of the series. However, the item song is forgettable, while the reprise versions of old songs in the background add to the overall cinematic feel. “Hunter- Tootega Nahi Todega” has all the ingredients of a typical Bollywood masala action film, but it falls short and may only be worth watching if you’re a diehard Suniel Shetty fan.
